Beauty Angel Energising Light Technology (ELT) at Cobella

Yesterday I was invited to the swish Cobella Day Spa and Salon in Kensington.  Literally a 5 minute walk from High Street Kensington Tube, this salon is perfect for Londoners on the move and needing a beauty fix!

I was there to review a new revolutionary piece of equipment… the Beauty Angel Energising Light Therapy.

Energising Light Therapies have been big news in the beauty world, but with so many now available it’s hard to sift through them to find one that truly delivers the results your after.

The Beauty Angel promised to deliver me all sorts, it supposedly encourages and stimulates the body’s own production of collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid.

In English it promised to diminish my wrinkles and keep my skin looking youthful!

In my case as you’re aware I have plenty of stretch mark wrinkles from being pregnant on my stomach area, and my face (nearing its 30th year now) needs all the help it can get to keep those wrinkles at bay!

After talking to the staff at Cobella and the Beauty Angel team (who all have soft gorgeous skin) I was given the full experience.

Upon entering the treatment room I told the therapist my problem areas (stomach and face) and then lay down on the treatment bed.  My face was cleansed, and Activate- Collagen Booster by Beauty Angel was applied, and pads put over my eyes and then the Beauty Angel was placed over me.

The light (even through the pads) is incredibly bright, and a nice warmth radiates off the machine.  It honestly felt like I was on a beach sunbathing! So this would probably work for all you S.A.D sufferers as well (nice skin and feeling happy- two birds one stone and all that!).

As the treatment was being performed (and I was getting my hands massaged) I was asking questions and finding out all I could…

The Beauty Angel delivers a broad spectrum of light which means light induced skin rejuvenation occurs.  So it’s suitable for: stretchmarks, burns, scars, psoriasis, wrinkles, pigmentation, dark circles and I’m sure it’s suitable for a whole host of other skin problems and issues too.  The light therapy helps the skin cells regenerate 150-200% faster and improves the oxygen supply to the skin which is why it’s so effective.  Gentle skin rejuvenation occurs because the fibroblasts are stimulated and the skins receptiveness to absorbing products is increased so all those lotions and potions you apply morning and night are actually more effective.

After hearing all the technical speak I wanted to know how it would work on me.  Would it clear the stretch marks left over from Baby London being such a large baby?

I was told that the first treatment I would notice that the skin was softer and more hydrated.  The skin texture would be improved but to really see a good noticeable lasting difference the treatment works best by following a course.  In my case going to the salon 2-3 times a week for about 4-5 weeks and my stretch marks will have significantly reduced.  After that a top up once in a while would be all that I would need to maintain the skin.

After 20 minutes the machine was moved away and my therapist applied Cultivate- Collegen Intensifier to help the effectiveness of the light therapy.

Immediately after the treatment my skin felt so soft, on both my face and my stomach.  I felt quite awake and energised and wanted to show off the results to MrLondonMum.  Upon getting home I asked him what he thought, and even he noticed the difference in texture of my stretchmarks.

Obviously though for me to get long lasting results I need to do a course and the salon have kindly offered me the chance to continue with treatments to show you my progress.  Fingers crossed ladies I think there’s help on the horizon for our post pregnant bodies after all!

It’s a wonderful treatment and I can’t wait to see further results from it :)
