Mum And Son #2 | Bernie And The Beanpole, Woolovers & Hatley

It’s time for another Mum and Son moment with today’s coordinating outfits.

I’ve recently stocked dab + blyton with some gorgeous Mum and Son jumpers, so I couldn’t resist stealing a couple for myself and Little London.

The monochrome and simple style I find works for both an adult and also a toddler, I don’t think either of us have had to compromise to suit the other gender or age group.

Come Winter I literally live in big, baggy jumpers because I find them so cosy.  So I know for a fact it’s comfortable for my child as well, which is why they make the perfect Mum and Son combo.

To complement our look I went for woolly hats for both of us.  Both of them with a little bobble on top.

Little London’s is from Bernie and the Beanpole*, who do the most gorgeous children’s Winter accessories in beautiful bright colours.

My woolly hat is actually part of a bigger set from Woolovers*.  The set would make the most beautiful gift for anyone, especially as it’s unisex.  It includes the hat, a big thick scarf (that Mr London Mum stole on this outing), and some fingerless gloves.

The entire coordinated set is made from 100% British wool and I can vouch for its toastiness.  The wool literally traps in the heat.

I chose the country twist colour for the set, but there are other options if you want something with a bit more oomph or you have a different colour preference.

The sets are currently on sale for £50.00 so they’re worth checking out if you’ve yet to finish your Christmas shopping!

To match the rest of our outfit, I put Little London is his Next trousers, while I donned my Topshop skirt.

I love the deep maroon colour on both of them, it’s just so festive.  However it’s also a colour I consider a classic, so it’s always welcome in either of our wardrobes any time of the year.

Finally, as it was slightly raining on the day we took this little jaunt, we both have our rain coats on.  Mine is a “mac in the bag” raincoat from ASOS while Little London is wearing one from Hatley*.

I adore the grey moose print on this coat, and it was perfect for our little trip to visit Father Christmas and go Christmas tree shopping.

It fits him well, it’s easy to do up and does what it says on the tin.  It keeps the rain away from his dry clothes underneath.  The inside is made of terry towelling so it isn’t a thick raincoat, but one that you can layer up underneath and should see your child through until the Summer months.

I think the outfits were perfect for our little Christmas shenanigans.

We were both lovely and warm, while being comfortable and ready to take a variety of active jobs such as cutting down our own Christmas tree and trekking through the woods to meet Father Christmas.

    • He met santa again at a different place and had a melt down at that one. He seems ok as long as I let him take his time to approach santa and not try and force it. Sometimes though there just isn’t the time! lol x

    • Gotta love soqematching outfits 😉 and yes the knits were great for keeping warm x

    • It was quite exciting picking and cutting our own tree. I want to do it again next year, although hopefully we’ll brave a bigger tree!
